Communicating objectives through vistas

The project was made in a simple, stylized aesthetic to underline the level design. Compositional techniques, lighting & vista locations and were used to communicate the environmental objectives to the player.
Carefully considering the technical performance of the project was a learning experience and key to providing a smooth, holistic experience for the player.
Process

I like to use a modular approach to sketching, to maintain accurate metrics right from the pre-production stage.
Reflections

The scope of the technical issues that arose from working with unfamiliar code could have been predicted more accurately

This led to debugging and performance optimization taking more time than it should have, time which could have been spent on refining the blockout more throughly

Composition was a bit too much fun and more time was spent on it than I would have liked
